The Union is lead by the President and nine Vice-Presidents. In its everyday business, the Union in involved in the development of technical regulations and legal acts concerning the circulation of chemicals and precursors, as well as other routine issues related to chemical industry. One of the key partners of the RCU is Russian Chemical Trade Union which was a counterpart and signatory to the 2005-06 Industrial Tariff Agreement for Chemical, Petrochemical, Biochemical and Pharmaceutical Industries. The Agreement has provided stable labor relations, secured efficient operation of chemical companies, protected social and economic rights and other legal privileges of the employees. Russian Chemical Union is one of the organizers for national and international industrial fairs and shows, held on the largest Russian sites: "Chemistry", "Plastics Industry Show", "InterLakokraska", "Tires and Rubber", "Bytchimexpo", "ExpoChemistry", "UralExpoChemistry", "AnalyticaExpo", "ChAgExpo" and others.
